Women's Aid Organisation or WAO is a Malaysian non-governmental organization that fights for women's rights and specifically against violence against women. It was founded in 1982.

One of WAO's most prominent members is Irene Xavier, who claimed to have been violently abused when she was detained without trial in 1987 during Operation Lalang.
