Thorn: Digital Defenders of Children is an international anti-human sex trafficking organization founded by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. The goals of the organization are to identify victims faster, stop abusers sooner, and disrupt the platforms being used to commit these crimes.
Originally titled the DNA Foundation, Thorn was established in 2009 after Demi Moore's experience witnessing the issue of child sex slavery in Cambodia. The name was changed years later after Moore and Kutcher's marriage ended but, they continue to work together on Thorn
Thorn has amassed many corporate allies helping to develop technology, such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, Symantec, Twitter, and more. They are aware that one of the main ways to stop child sex trafficking is to develop technology that puts a stop to it.
